In order to ensure that your stay with us is comfortable and pleasant, special attention has been paid to the ward accommodation and staffing to ensure that our facilities are as user friendly as possible.
Our hospital is fully air-conditioned and accommodation is offered in the form of multi-bedded general wards, two bedded semi-private wards and en-suite private wards.
Should you require a private or semi-private ward, please advise your Doctor to ensure that the appropriate arrangements are made in advance.
Booked procedure must be pre-authorised before coming to hospital to avoid declined authorisations.
Admissions are done on first come basis but priority will be given to emergencies and patients booked for theatre and you would be notified of any co-payments and short-payments. At Midlands, we believe that we are a family and therefore it is important to make the patient feel a part of that.
Every bed has its own control panel comprising television (limited DSTV channels), radio, bedside light as well as the nurse call system. A prayer room is available.
The following documents are mandatory on admission:
- Identity document of the main member
- Identity document of the patient
- In the case of a child, the birth certificate
- Utility bill (for verification of address)
- Medical aid card
In the case of booked patients, a letter from the Doctor with the relevant ICD codes and NRPL codes
In addition, ensure that:
- Patients come to Hospital with relevant deposits and co-payments.
- Patients booked for theatre come into Hospital to complete their Pre-Admission assessment.
You co-operation will go a long way toward ensuring a smooth admission to Hospital.
