MEDICAL WARDS

Our Medical Wards are located on levels 2, 5 and 6 of Midlands Medical Centre Private Hospital, and appropriately staffed with highly-skilled, caring and professional registered nurses, enrolled nurses and enrolled nursing assistants.

These professionals are backed up by a quality assurance team comprising of among others an infection prevention control practitioner and a quality assurance team member.

Our medical wards are supported by an on-site kidney and dialysis centre, as well as a state of the art radiology facility and four on-site independent pathology laboratory services.

Our teams treat a variety of medical conditions, including Diabetes and its complications, HIV-Aids and associated opportunistic infections, TB, Pneumonia, Stroke, Influenza and its complications, Kidney diseases, Acute Rheumatalogical conditions, conditions, Gastroenteritis and Gastritis, as well as Cellulitis.

Our facilities include specialised Isolation suites for patients with infectious diseases such as pulmonary TB and meningitus.

Admitting specialist doctors include physicians, dermatologists, pulmonologists, gastroenterologists, nephrologists, neurologists and rheumatologists.

We work in conjunction with various allied healthcare professionals such as audiologists, psychologists, counsellors, physiotherapists and dieticians.

SURGICAL WARDS

At Midlands Medical Centre Private Hospital, we understand that undergoing a surgical procedure (i.e. an operation) can be a daunting proposition, whether planned (elective) or unplanned (emergencies).

Our Surgical Wards are located on levels 2-5 of our hospital, and are appropriately staffed with highly-skilled, caring and professional registered nurses, enrolled nurses and enrolled nursing assistants.

They are backed up by a quality assurance team comprising of among others an infection prevention control practitioner and a quality assurance team member.

Our surgical wards are supported by an on-site kidney and dialysis centre, as well as a state of the art radiology facility and four on-site independent pathology laboratory services.

Our teams manage a variety of surgical procedures pre and post-operation, including ENT, dental, maxillofacial surgery, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, plastic surgery, neurosurgery and urology.

Admitting specialist doctors include general surgeons, ENT surgeons, dental surgeons, maxillofacial surgeons, ophthalmic surgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, plastic surgeons, neurosurgeons and urologists.

We work in conjunction with various allied healthcare professionals such as audiologists, physiotherapists, dieticians, wound care specialists, stoma therapists, orthotists and occupational therapists.
